New compound K4 – Via Pompeo Mariani 4 - Milano


The new housing scheme has been realized reclaiming a share of the ex Coca Cola plant in Milan, that long since lied disused in a towns’ area completely surrounded with greenery and far from traffic congestion.

According to the regulations in force of the new urban development plan, the housing estate is characterized by more different functions: residential, producing, commercial; and more different areas: a fitness zone with indoor pool, an open-air area as children playground, a shared room for conferences and parties, a pets area, in a green context with an high aesthetic and operational value.

The idea of this future city is to avoid the displacement of people from home to work, with a decrease in terms of waste of time and pollution. The new housing estate would be completely self-sufficient, set near public transpotation suc as bus n. 51 or Precotto MM subway station.

The 5 buildings of 4 floors placed in court are crossed by paths, with cycle tracks and crossover. Cars, set in the basement by ramps, are far from the view.

There are real estate unities of different surface and heights, with ample windows and balconies, loft conversions and retrievable attics.

First of all, K4 project has foreseen a check operation of soil quality of class A, public parks and residential.

Noteworthy is the construction of external finishings and shutters for assuring a good energy saving.

The main entrance is on via Mariani, where will be realized some commercial settlements such as banks, pharmacies, kiosks and other services.
